In these bizarre and contemptible times one can not help but listen to Boris Johnson and try to hear what leave voters hear that makes them think his actions are sound! It is clear the UK is now more divided than it ever has been. 

Boris has so far blamed the EU and remain voters for the failure of Brexit, citing his ' saving Britain' perception as the future of the UK.

Its blatant maligned propaganda.

The sole and only reason Brexit has failed is because of the Conservative Party. 

Cameron called the referendum without putting in safeguards of a minimum number of votes. Or correct policing of the campaigns. Then Boris appears to have repeated the exact same mistakes Theresa May made.

Both have put themselves and Party Politics first.

Brexit is not 'party' its UK - its 65 million people - its National - it involves all of us, Ireland, Wales, Scotland & England, Gibraltar and all our UK nationals living in the EU. 

But both leaders have failed to acknowledge these fundamentals treating Brexit as a very English 'problem'.

Never have we witnessed a leader in such turmoil that they feel they have to lie at every turn.

The Liars Lies 

Boris trying to bulldoze not only Parliament but the people in to a national financial catastrophe is a tumultuous disaster. 

Boris lies twice - here in his letter he states he will not Prorogue, then when asked outright if the government are considering it they say no. Two very big Lies! 

Prorogation has been enforced in an effort to shut our Parliament down - it is not a recess it is an act of disempowering the people. It is clearly undemocratic. 

Sacking MPs because they vote for country not Party is also the act of a dictator.

Withdrawing those MP's who have open concerns about the effects of No Deal Brexit by banning them from the Conference - this is Hard Right Party Politics not Brexit Politics. 

This (not so foolish) clown is now more scary than Trump or Pennywise.

Boris' whole short campaign has failed as equivocally as Theresa Mays - its obvious we as a country do not want to be bullied and tyrannised by the Conservative Party something they have been doing for over 3 years. 

The remain voters have not stopped Brexit and neither has the EU - the Conservative Party is solely to blame.  Until they start to engage and actually talk to the 'people', talk to all parties (so far  3 years wasted with only a forced meeting at the 11th hour early this year where the Conservatives yet again failed to negotiate). 

Boris is causing civil unrest not just  here in England but also in Ireland - every thing he touches seems to turn to disaster.

As we teeter on the edge of an election because the 'PM' has turned into a dictator - we can only hope the right people win, kick out this disingenuous government, call a 2nd referendum the leavers see not only the sense but the security we have within the EU.

Lets hope that the leaver voters don't vote for Farage who has never put the UK first.

We know the Torries like to make money - its strange they can negotiate millions of £'s of benefit out of this disaster, but can not negotiate the best deal for the UK ?

What does Democracy Mean - Brexit - The People's Vote

The word democracy describes a political system. "In a democratic country, all eligible citizens have the right to participate, either directly or indirectly, in making the decisions that affect them."

So Cameron said 'let the people vote in a referendum'

The people voted and which ever way you look at it it was close with leave just winning.

Was this a democratic vote - Sort of - if the campaign to leave or remain had been fact checked, based on sound knowledge and correctly policed then yes it would have been democratic - but it wasn't. 

One of the major criticisms of the Brexit campaign was the number of misleading or false claims.
Both sides were accused of running deeply flawed campaigns with spurious reports such as money flooding back to the NHS in the event of Brexit.

1. 'The money saved from leaving the EU will result in the NHS getting £350m a week'
2. 'A free-trade deal with the EU will be 'the easiest thing in human history'
3. ‘Two thirds of British jobs in manufacturing are dependent on demand from Europe’
4. 'Turkey is going to join the EU and millions of people will flock to the UK'
5. 'Brexit will lead to Scotland renewing calls for independence'
6. 'Brexit does not mean the UK will leave the single market '

Which way to go?

Vote Leave broke electoral law and British democracy is shaken. Vote Leave has been fined £61,000 after being found guilty of breaking electoral law during the Brexit campaign....

Large business funded the campaigns on a basis of what they would benefit from - that is un democratic.

Members from different political parties joined together to create a 'dream list' of how the UK would be out of the EU - financially, ethically, and morally and people bought into the dream. 

Remainers could only fight for what there was/is  - difficult when the people are feeling disengaged especially after years of austerity and terrorism.

So what is Brexit? That really is the million dollar question.  Brexit is different things to different people. 

Its: 

• 'going back to how things were before'
• 'less migration'
• 'being great again'
• 'more control'
• 'Free trade' 
• 'more money for the NHS' 
• 'prosperity'

The problem is these are mostly immeasurable things - if everyone wants something different from Brexit can it really deliver. Will the leavers ever be happy with Brexit?

If you look at two years of Brexit, time wasted on elections solely to gain more control (less democracy), poor negotiations, a 'deal' that quite frankly a child could have written in less time and that pleases no-one, its difficult to see how anyone will or can ever be satisfied that 'Brexit has been delivered' 

In my opinion - it is democratic to have a second clear well articulated referendum, with a proper fact based campaign (or no campaign)  - a democratic vote - and yes I believe the option to revoke Article 50 should be included within that vote.
